Meet the Research Team
The R1 Research Team works together to review the progress on the project, to review the products developed by the Mentor Training Development Committee, and to come up with ideas and suggestions for ways to help the project move forward. As the project continues to move forward, the team will also focus on examining the data that is being collected, making changes to the program as needed, and putting information together to share with others about the project.

Social Peer Mentor Training Development Committee, aka "The R1 Working Committee":
The R1 Working Committee has worked toward the development of:
- The procedures for recruitment and screening of social peer mentors and peer partners
- Guidelines to match mentors to their peer partners
- Educational materials and procedures for training mentors
- New instruments to help measure social activities, mentoring activities, and satisfaction with the mentoring program.

The committee includes individuals from diverse backgrounds as rehabilitation professionals and individuals with brain injury who are working together. Each member of the committee brings a different perspective to the project, which has led to the creation of a promising mentoring program.
