R3: Training Family Members as Paraprofessionals: Use of Distance Learning As A Training Tool for Family Members in Rural Areas
Project Update
Since our last update, the videoconference sessions have been conducted with 5 caregivers of persons with TBI. The feedback from caregivers has been that the sessions provided them with information that they had not been given before, and that participation in the seminars resulted in new skills that they could use to help their family members with TBI. The project was temporarily delayed in order to get more efficient recruitment procedures in place, but we are again on track and plan to begin holding regular sessions again. At the rate of our current accrual, results for this project are not anticipated to be available until 2008.
