The National Database of SCI Resources was originally developed as the National Database of Educational Resources by the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center in Community Integration for Individuals with Spinal Cord Injury at Baylor College of Medicine with funding from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), U.S. Department of Education. Subsequent funding for the database was provided by NIDRR through a grant to the Model Spinal Cord Injury System Dissemination Center at TIRR (The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research). The database is currently housed at the Texas Model Spinal Cord Injury System, a NIDRR grant at TIRR Memorial Hermann, Houston, Texas.
